It is not surprising that the Lebanese are famed for their warm hospitality. Go to a Lebanese restaurant and you will savor the warmth and good cheer. The cook will go out to greet you (that's why you'll love him) and perhaps you'll be offered glass of wine and some tidbits on the house.

I am an expatriate working in Saudi Arabia (in Ras Tanura, near Dammam/Al-Kobar). Its just a month since i reached here.. So pretty new to an Arab nation.
I was looking out for some Arabic Delicacies. I've heard Arab food is one of the best in the world.. n they are yamee.. Especially Lebanese food..
Please suggest me some 'must try out' dishes/food here..

How painfully true is this ?
Lebanon: An experiment that failed miserably. In 1948, Lebanon was created from Syrian land. The country is full of Arabs who pretend to be European due to an inferiority complex. They're easily noticeable when they speak half-french and half-english " Hi, kifak ? ca va ? "
In recent years the country did not want the Syrian military in Lebanon, and in return the Israelis bombed the hell out of lebanon in 2006 due to a lack of syrian protection and yet, they blame syria for everything.
A country that wants to be everything it is not, believes its European, believes its rich, believes plastic surgery makes you beautiful, but scratch the surface
Food is great but attempts to sell it as 'lebanese food' are foolish, it is exactly the same as Syrian food and strongly linked to Greek and Turkish food for that matter.
Lebanon is a place full of sectarian hatred, full of political disunion.

Lies, I'm a Lebanese and I know your corruption all too well, media propaganda and schools are spreading ignorance everywhere.
Btw the X to Christmas is just an abbreviation, and you know what ? Jesus wasn't even born on Christmas and the bible says nothing about Santas and reindeers, maybe you should take that away too.
I know that no country is perfect but there is no excuse for the absolute corruption and ignorance in the lebanese society.

do you think i ate alot?
i think i ate alot and for some reason my stomach is growling and its kinda hurting. im not that hungry. ok for breakfast i ate 2 whole wheat bread toast with a tiny bit of peanut butter and organic blueberry jam and like half a cup of 2% milk. at lunch i ate 6 carrots and like 2 slices of turkey ham. then an hour later my friend bought me a meat pie (some arabic or lebanese food its bread with meat in it) then for supper i ate a salad (lettuce, mushrooms, carrots, 1 slice of ham, with extra virgin olive oil a tiny pinch of salt and 1 tablespoon of lemon) then one hour later i ate a tiny little kids yogurt (not sure what the brand is) do you think i ate a lot?? im trying to lose weight and i'm going to do cardio on my treadmill after
btw..im 14 and i am pear shaped and i am about 200 punds...no links for weight loss plz and thx....their boring and annoying lol
